Strat: Single CoC Archer »
By Lukey

There have been talks around CB about this set up for a strategy, and I looked around at all the stats and such, and compiled my own results for it.

Single Minion:

If you are going to use a Single Minion CoC Archer, you are going to need to spend some money. This strategy would be best used with a Tattoo of Augmentation. This itself would bring in Dexterity and Strength, which would allow you to focus your EXP spending onto your Health Points and Cone of Cold. With this strat though, you will need to spend a lot of money, on armor and on your Bow, now due to recent changes, to some, the Assassin’s Crossbow along with the Enforcer’s Crossbow have become invalid with the newly added Skill “Phantom Link”. So, personally I would say the Elven Long Bow would be your best bet here, so you would need to add a lot of networth to it.

Sum up of Single Minion CoC Archer:

ToA would give DX and ST.
EXP would be spent on HP and CoC.
Armor Needed:
-You could try for the HoE, but due to the -2% magic, it may bring down your CoC too much.
-If you want more DX, then you should get Elven Gloves, if you want more CoC then get Alatar Gloves, both have -0%’s so it’s your take on it.
-You should get Elven Boots in my mind, no negatives to magic, and it brings up your DX with each plus.
Weapons:
-Elven Long Bow- This is the weapon you should get, it deals the most damage out of all the Ranged. Pump lots of money into this.

Single Mage Strategy »
By Lukey

Ok, lets start you off with single mage. First, train Fireball (FB) as soon as you can. If your minion is holding a melee weapon right now, sell it, since weapons can not mix with Direct Damage Spells.

Now is a good time to use money gained from the fights to buy some armor for your mage (and NEVER weapons). Right now, Leather Boots and Leather Gloves is the best choice, later on you can upgrade with a Cornuthaum and Alatar’s Gloves, and maybe even Displacement Boots if you want.

After FB is learned, fight some battles, and train half your experience to HP and the other half to FB. (Note: This is the way I do my strategy and it’s working out well. You can train the experience at a different ratio if you think it would work better.)

Soon enough, you’ll have reached 1000-2000 Minion Power Rating (MPR). At this time, I suggest you train Antimagic Field (AMF, 567 exp needed).

Now you have to split your experience up between HP, FB, and AMF. Here is a decent way I’ve found to invest your experience: HP and FB should always be even. AMF should be around half what the HP is. For example, if you have 5000 HP and 5000 FB, then your AMF should be around 2500.

Lastly, make sure you have a Tattoo or a Rune. I would suggest a Rune of Enlightenment until around 150,000 MPR or until you can’t fight those around your score anymore. At that point, either use a Tattoo of Endurance (ToE), or a Fire Familiar (FF).

Direct Damage Spells »
By Pixel Sage

For the past few days, I’ve done some thinking about the pros and cons of direct damage spells. This first came up when I decided to ditch Fireball, which was constantly eating away HP from my other minions.

An Introductory Look at the Single Tank »
By Vaynard

First off, welcome to Pixelsage’s new site! And a big thanks to PS as well, for doing all the work that was done behind the scenes here, and for doing such a terrific job!

I have to admit that I was a little intimidated at making my first article on here- especially since there is not even another article up yet at all! Could this possible be the first article on the cb.pixelsage.com website? I suppose we’ll see. So after my initial writer’s block, I figured I would start out with something I know. The single tank.

Why choose single tank?

4 Minion Familiar Strategy »
By Crux Terminatus

Equipment Required:

  • A Familiar (I haven’t done it with a Jigorokano Familiar, might end up in a lot of stalemates…also should be a level pretty close to max tattoo.)
  • Any mage armor (MCM, leathers, etc. Corns are very handy seeing that all you minions are enchanters)

Minion Requirements

  • 4 minions
  • Don’t train any physical stats ( Dex, Str or HP)
  • Have two minions train Ablative Shield and Anti-Magic Field
  • Have the third minion train Ethereal Chains and Ablative Shield
  • Equip the Familiar on the fourth minion and have it train Anti-magic Field and Guardian Angel

Notes

I was not sure as to what ratio to train the enchantments. I train them to a nice round number.
