Strat: Single CoC Archer »
By Lukey
There have been talks around CB about this set up for a strategy, and I looked around at all the stats and such, and compiled my own results for it. Single Minion: If you are going to use a Single Minion CoC Archer, you are going to need to spend some money. This strategy would be best used with a Tattoo of Augmentation. This itself would bring in Dexterity and Strength, which would allow you to focus your EXP spending onto your Health Points and Cone of Cold. With this strat though, you will need to spend a lot of money, on armor and on your Bow, now due to recent changes, to some, the Assassin’s Crossbow along with the Enforcer’s Crossbow have become invalid with the newly added Skill “Phantom Link”. So, personally I would say the Elven Long Bow would be your best bet here, so you would need to add a lot of networth to it. Sum up of Single Minion CoC Archer: ToA would give DX and ST. |

Ok I ran a Single Minion CoC/Archer when cb2 first started.
I started off with the set-up you have here but i found that, as you reach the real competition at the top, that the ToA (or rather the lack of AC b/c of it) is more of a hinderance than anything
Now i did all this before the amulets came around so the AoAC may have helped get over the lack of AC but i doubt it. I ended up running with a little different equipment strat (similar to the alternate CoC armor on the cb help pages) I had
MC (yeah you read that right)
EC
DB
TG (this was before AG were around)
HoD
and of course the real key to this set-up an ELB.
Of course with the changes that have come about since then (amulets, TSA, AG, etc) I would suggest some changes to the non-ToA set-up of course but the real issue is that while this set-up can be VERY effective against multi minion teams it gets eaten alive by single or dual mages. W/O the ToA to augment your str & dx your xp gets split between way to much…HP, STR, DX, & CoC at the very least and AMF is almost required…it is just too much dilution
the bonuses from things like TSA, EC, etc can help get more use from your xp but the solo mages will eat you up
w/ or w/o ToA?
stats or AC?
The choice is yours but either way you go understand one thing: while the CoC/Archer is fun and definately different you will NEVER see one in the top characters lists, though it might make it into the top single minion characters, mine did ;)
